Although we know her better from ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’, Hiromu Arakawa he hasn’t stopped publishing manga at any point between his ‘Hero Tales’, ‘Silver Spoon’, ‘The Heroic Legend of Arslan’, and ‘Yomi no Tsugai’, which only started serialization in 2021.
Among all these fictional stories the mangaka also started publishing in 2006′peasant aristocracy‘ (‘Hyakushō Kizoku’), an autobiographical manga about the time she worked as a farmer.
And with anime in sight
Now ‘Peasant aristocracy’ also has its own anime in the works, as confirmed by Shinshokan this week. The manga began serialization in Unpoko magazine in 2006 and later changed to Shinshokan’s Wings in 2009.
Through the pages of this manga, Arakawa recounts her own experience working on a farm for seven years before she was able to become a professional mangaka.. The author grew up on a dairy farm in Hokkaido, so she also draws herself as a cow on her sleeve.
This time too inspired a lot of the plot of ‘Silver Spoon’which follows a young man in an agricultural school and along with ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ is one of his best-rated manga.

For now, no release date has been confirmed for the anime or which studio will be involved, but it is certainly a very curious project. From the official account of the manga they promise that there will be more news about the anime soon, so it’s time to keep an eye on this series with mangaka vaquitas.
