Receiving a diagnosis of a serious illness is something that no one wants to have to go through, because you start to think about all the people around you who depend on you, which in turn becomes a motivation to fight with all possible strength to win the battle.
It is said that creating a support network is always important so that we do not feel alone and know that someone will be there to help us cope with life’s adversities. Both family and friends help us in need and show solidarity when we need it most.
Proof of this is the stylist Jalal Hafed, who dedicated a nice gesture as a way of supporting her friend Emily Bennet, who is going through difficult times due to being diagnosed with advanced-stage breast cancer.
It is no secret that the treatment for this disease is very aggressive, almost as aggressive as the cancer itself. In addition, one of the most characteristic symptoms of patients who fight this battle is losing hair in large quantities, which is why at some point they choose to shave their heads.
Very often, we see videos of relatives and friends of patients who show solidarity with them and everyone shaves their heads so that the person affected does not feel alone and become depressed, because this is exactly what Jalal Hafed, the personal stylist of Emily, he did after she went to have her long hair shaved, since when he finished with her, he passed the machine over his head in a noble gesture of friendship and empathy.
Definitely, Emily did not expect this, so she reacts surprised and moved by that action, after that, Jalal gives her a giant flower arrangement. Fortunately, all this was recorded and was uploaded to the stylist’s social networks, who wrote as a description of the video:
Sometimes life isn’t fair, but if you stick together through thick and thin, you can achieve anything! Emily, you are an absolute star and we love you.
While, through the posts on her Instagram, Emily recounts how she has been experiencing the process of her illness. In the last post she confesses that she was 14 days after her chemotherapy when her hair began to fall out, making her feel miserable, so she made the decision to shave.
In short, although it is a difficult decision to make, the people who experience it are forced to do so, so the support of the people around them is essential so that it is not such a painful process.

Emily is a strong woman with a beautiful family made up of her husband and three children, who has tried to give the disease the best possible face, no matter how hard it may be. Also, she always tries to see the positive side of things.
Also, after cutting her hair, Emily says that her morning routine has become much easier and shorter and that she even dared to go to the store without a headscarf, feeling good about it.
