Yesterday the XX edition of Junior Eurovision took place, which closed with the victory of France and Spain returning to rise to the top 10 of winners. The gala also performed better in terms of audiences, scoring the highest number of viewers in the last three years.
Good and bad news
Junior Eurovision 2022 crowned yesterday Lissandro as your winner. The representative of France won the victory with the song ‘Oh maman!’ and 203 pointsbeing the second time in the history of the contest that the French country has achieved it.
They followed Armenia with 180 points, Georgia with 161, Ireland with 150, United Kingdom with 146 and Spain with 137. Thus, Carlos Higes and his ‘Miss’ managed to re-enter the most viewed performances in sixth position.
Of the 20 years that the festival has been running, Spain has participated eight and in six of them it has entered the top 5. Although the one from Higes has obtained the second worst position in the historical ranking of Spain, it has indeed been a improvement over last yearwith Levi Diaz in position 15.
Regarding audiences, the program achieved a 10.1% share and 1,183,000 viewers. Once again, this is the third least watched gala in the history of the program but it is also a joy for RTVE, as break the downward trend of the last three years.
