The singer Elvis Presley, who died 46 years ago, continues to give a lot to talk about to date and now he does so because one of the houses where he spent his childhood was auctioned.
The one known as the King of Rock and Roll was born in the house marked with the number 605 Kelly Streetin Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935, however, from 1943 to 1944, he and his family moved to a simple house located at number 1241 same Kelly Streetwhich was in the news a few hours ago after it was announced that it was auctioned.
The house, which has an extension of 1,260 square feet and is distributed along one floor, it has three bedrooms and a bathroom.
It also has a kitchen, dining room, main room, attic, porch, among other spaces that were surely enjoyed by the interpreter and his family.
Outside it has green areas with a lot of weeds and tall grass.
It transpired that the new owner, whose identity has not been revealed, plans to demolish the old house and build a replica in its place, which would be endowed with various period items.
“The owner plans to put the house back together, outfitting it with 1930s furniture and household items and then adding other Elvis collectibles,” said Jeffrey Marren, owner of Rockhurst Auctions. In an interview with the British newspaper The Sun.
