Amazon has finally announced the release date of season 2 of ‘The wheel of time’ on Prime Video: the new installment of this adaptation of the literary saga of Robert Jordan will hit the platform next September 1st.
A great success
It is seen that Amazon likes that dateWell, that same day last year was when ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ debuted on Prime Video. At that time, it broke all the audience records for that streaming platform -although with data that was not so amazing if we take into account its enormous cost-, but ‘The Wheel of Time’ also left its mark before Middle-earth devastated everything.
Let’s remember that Amazon announced at the time that ‘The Wheel of Time’ had had one of the five best launches for an original series of the platform and that it was also known that it was the most watched series to premiere in 2021 in the United States, surpassing, for example, all those that Marvel released that year, from ‘Hawkeye’ to ‘Scarlet Witch and Vision’. Nothing bad.
This second season of ‘The Wheel of Time’ will be based on ‘The Great Hunt’, the second novel from Jordan’s literary original. Of course, some changes have been forced, such as the fact that donal finn replaces Barney Harrys in the role of Mat Cauthon.
In addition, Amazon has also launched the first images of season 2 via EW, so it shouldn’t take too long to get a trailer as well. While we wait for the arrival of that expected advance, I leave you the images mentioned below:
