“I’ve finished. That chapter is over. I did everything I had to do. Of course, playing a character like that again and again, for more than a decade, is a unique experience.”.
However, that is not the end of the relationship between the actress and Marvel Studios, since Johansson will produce an MCU movie, although the project is unknown.

In an interview with comicbook, Johansson, who joined Marvel in 2011, reiterated that this new movie is already in development, but the writers’ strike in Hollywood has forced all progress to stop.
“It’s still running, but not right now. We’re all in a kind of limbo as we wait out the writers’ strike and potentially our own actors’ strike.“.
This is not the only production affected by the WGA strike. Marvel Studios recently announced that they have changed the release dates of their upcoming projects.
As SMASH reported to you during the Black Widow movie media tour in 2021, Johansson acknowledged that she is pleased with the results achieved with Marvel, and the decision to end her journey as Black Widow.
“I am very happy with the work we have done during this decade and, you know, it is bittersweet to say ‘goodbye’, but if you love something, you must release it!”.
