RTVE’s Board of Directors met yesterday and approved a series of novelties for the future television of the chain, including the renewal of ‘Masterchef’, ‘Masterchef Celebrity’ and ‘Masterchef Christmas’, as well as split the finery of the anonymous edition in two.

The broadcast of season 7 of ‘Masterchef Celebrity’ and its good audience figures have led RTVE to decide to continue betting on what is already one of its star formats. For this reason, the Council has approved The renewal competition for a ‘Masterchef 11’ and a ‘Masterchef Celebrity 8’.
‘Masterchef Christmas’ was also commented on again as an alternative to ‘Masterchef Junior’ and ‘Masterchef Grandparents’. This year, this Christmas special with contestants from the editions ‘Junior’ and ‘Celebrity’which will consist of five episodes.
In relation to one of the criticisms that is often made to the program, its duration, the Council has decided to double the finery of the anonymous edition. So, in the next season of ‘Masterchef’, episodes will be half as long and air over two nights, to avoid ending at dawn. This modification will not be applied to the rest of the versions of the program.
As for other news from the meeting, They renewed ‘The joker of La 1’ and ‘The hunter’approval was given to José Mota’s new program (‘José Mota Show 5G’) and ‘The day that…’ (which, according to The Objective, will be presented by Julia Otero) and several NBC animation series were contracted, the TV Movies from ‘Murder, She Wrote’ and several films from NBC and The Walt Disney Company.
