It was during CinemaCon on April 23, where Rihanna, accompanied by the president of Paramount, Ramesey Naito, confirmed that she would lend her voice to Smurfette for the new ‘The Potufos’ movie.
“I tried to audition for the role of Papa Pituso, but it didn’t work out,” the Umbrella singer began joking.
But that’s not all, Rihanna also confirmed that she will be in charge of composing and singing all the songs that will be part of the film’s Soundtrack.
What will the new ‘The Smurfs’ movie be like?
One of the data revealed by the director of Paramount Animation is that this new installment of ‘The Smurfs’ will try to address identity issues, but above all, it will try to give a definitive answer to the question: what is a Smurf?
The film will be based on the original comics by the Belgian artist Peyo, which are focused on small creatures that live in a village surrounded by forest, building their homes among flowers, trees and mushrooms, and its premiere will be next February 2025.
