Few sagas more famous than ‘John Wick’ have created Hollywood in recent years, but the truth is that at the time nobody gave a penny for the first installment. Divisa just made it official that ‘John Wick’ has finally It will be released in physical format in our country on both DVD and Blu-ray and UHD, being next June 30 the date chosen for its sale in Spain. There will be those who think that something like this is nonsense, but what happened with the first installment was incomprehensible, given that both ‘John Wick: Blood Pact’ and ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 -Parabellum’ were published without major problems in our country.
Apparently, the main problem was a monetary and rights issue, since there were several distributors interested in launching it in our country, but it had been impossible until now. The details of the deal whereby Divisa has managed to make what many home theater fans consider a miracle a reality are unknown, but the important thing is that it is official.
In addition, Divisa is also going to give us the joy of including 40 minutes of additional content through four documentary pieces. It is a pity that it seems that the audio commentary of Chad Stahelski and David Leitch which does include the North American edition, but we must not forget that the physical format editions of this distributor do not exactly shine due to the amount of extras that they usually include.
What there is still no news about is the possible edition in physical format in Spain of ‘John Wick 4’, and that could be a problem, because Diamond Films seems to have dropped it lately…
