Deadpool 3 is beginning to take shape, and the return of the Merc with a Mouth to the big screen couldn’t be complete without the return of two important characters in the plot of the previous films, Vanessa and Colossus.

Both Vanessa and Colossus have played an important part in both films. Vanessa is Wade Wilson’s romantic lead, while the Russian mutant is something of a mentor, looking to bring Deadpool to the X-Men.

Well, you have to prepare more chimichangas, since Deadline confirms that both Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic join the cast of Deadpool 3, as Vanessa and Colossus, respectively.

Baccarin’s return, like Kapicic’s, joins those of Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams, who in the previous two films played taxi driver Dopinder and Deadpool’s roommate, Blind Al.

While Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen are the new additions to the cast, Owen Wilson could join as Agent M. Mobius.

How is Deadpool 3 production progressing?

In Deadpool 3, screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick return to put together the plot of this new installment, in what will be the first Marvel Studios film that would be classified for adults only.

The filming of this film, directed by Shawn Levy, could start in the course of 2023, with a cast still to be defined, in the first film of the character created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, now for Marvel Studios.

With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman leading the cast, Deadpool 3 will be released on November 8, 2024, as a possible closure of phase five of the MCU.
