However, despite the strange movement, she was delighted that she could be surprised. At the end of the day, she was blown away by that sequence like everyone else because she didn’t know anything about it.
“I first saw that scene at the Thor: Love and Thunder premiere, like everyone else. In the same way I guess Taika Waititi didn’t know Thor was coming back, I didn’t know Roy Kent was Hercules. I’m a huge fan of Marvel Studios, so I was thrilled to have a little moment in the movie where I was really surprised by something.”
Director Taika Waititi had previously revealed that both he and Chris Hemsworth were surprised when they saw the message that Marvel Studios placed at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder. On that sign you could read that the God of Thunder would be back soon.
Will the writer return to the UCM in the future?
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson confirmed that she was aware that Hercules could enter the scene. However, the writer admitted that she was not involved in the process. In fact, she was surprised by the choice of Brett Goldstein to bring to life the mythological hero of Marvel Studios.
“I knew that Hercules was being talked about. Hercules’ name was said in conversations that he definitely shouldn’t have heard… But I did. So the moment I saw the beginning of the scene, I knew that Zeus was talking to Hercules. What I didn’t know was the chosen actor.”
The screenwriter of Thor: Love and Thunder admitted that he does not yet know if he will work with Marvel Studios again. But, seen what has been seen, she has left the door open, because life does not know when it will surprise you.
“I don’t know if I’ll go back to the MCU. Right now, I’m very open to whatever life throws at me. One thing I have learned in this business is that you can try to make plans, but those plans will backfire on you and you will be laughed at. So I’ve stopped planning. If I get a call, they want me to come in, bring something new and I feel like it’s right for me… So yeah. I would work with Marvel again. The only thing I can say is that Kevin Feige really knows how to put writers, directors, executives and projects together. He knows how to compose that creative meeting. If Kevin Feige feels I’m right for something, I really trust him.”
