Lucero’s return to the small screen is official, as the actress will be part of the cast of the new ViX series, ‘El Gallo de Oro’, based on the writer’s novel of the same name Juan Rulfoand spoke for the first time about this project in an interview for ‘Wake up America’.
“This is an original story, obviously it is an adaptation of Juan Rulfo’s book,” said the Mexican, who also spoke about the challenges of having to set the story more than 100 years in the past.
“It is not easy, it is complicated perhaps because suddenly the time, you have to handle the whole setting very well, the whole theme of the scenery or the sets that you are using, where we do not see painted walls, we see real scenarios, real sets”, he mentioned in this regard.
Lucero also mentioned that the locations were spectacular and in various states of the Mexican Republic, “We spent many weeks in San Luis Potosí, we spent others in Hidalgo as well, fabulous locations in very particular places, portraying this Mexico of those years”, he pointed out.
She also confessed that her character in La Caponera is completely different from her, which is why it was very cool for her “to be able to play a character like that.
