In the second week of shooting “Fast X” -the most recent film in the saga of “Fast & Furious”– director justin lin left the project due to creative differences, being replaced by louis leterrier. Now, the result has left the executives of Universal Pictures that it has been announced that the French director will direct the eleventh film in the series.
Apparently “Fast & Furious 11” -whose shooting could begin next year- will be the last film to show the adventures of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his friends. It’s a statement Peter Kramerof Universalcelebrated continuing to work with Leterrier on the successful saga: “Louis joined the team at “Fast & Furious” seamlessly, with an innate understanding of the franchise that’s stronger than ever after two decades. Under his direction, “Fast X” it’s a thriller high-intensity with all the spectacular action, excitement and twists fans expect, and then some. We are delighted that he will continue to work his magic in the director’s chair.”
louis leterrier rose to fame as a director in 2005 with the film “Transporter 2”which was followed by films like “Clash of the Titans” and “The Incredible Hulk”. As to “Fast X”presents in its main cast Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron and John Cena; the premiere in the United States will be on May 19.
