‘Masterchef 11’ held its final gala last night, in which the applicants faced the last duel and Eneko emerged as the winner, taking the 100,000 euros of the prize, a place in the master’s degree in cooking at the Basque Culinary Center and the possibility of publishing their own culinary book.
“I am proud of myself”
The ‘Masterchef’ gala started with the “follow the chef” test, with the added difficulty that Eneko, Pilu, Álex and Lluís had to follow Toño Pérez’s instructions from behind. Except for Eneko, the rest didn’t get it right with the cooking and he went directly to being the first duelist.
The next challenge took place in Gipuzkoa, at the Martin Berasategui Restaurant. Finally, Álex was the finalist who obtained the best results and, therefore, would face Eneko in the final duel.
Both contestants were reunited with their families and prepared to face the final test: prepare a high-level menu in which they will demonstrate everything they have learned throughout the contest. Eneko presented a menu that combined tradition and modernity, and to which the judges could not say but: “You have nailed it” summed up Samantha.
Consequently, they declared Eneko the winner of this eleventh edition: “I just don’t believe it: coming here and being one of the winners of ‘Masterchef’. It has been the experience of my life. If I had to write my own story in the contest, it wouldn’t have been as pretty.. I am proud of myself” the ex-soccer player celebrated with emotion.
