If you like action movies, it is very likely that among your recent feature films you will find that magnificent triptych made up of the three ‘John Wick’ feature films, which very soon they will join a ‘Chapter 4’ that will hit our theaters next year and two spinoffs. These will be the series ‘The Continental’, focused on the microcosm of the hotel that appears in its title, and the film ‘Ballerina’, which will tell the story of a young assassin.

Today I bring you news twice about these last two productions, beginning with the film starring Ana de Armas and directed by Len Wiseman, to which Keanu Reeves himself will join, reprising his iconic role as John Wick for the occasion.. Music for my ears.
According to Collider, the actor is currently in Prague to hand out tow on the set of ‘Ballerina’ after leaving the Hulu project ‘The Devil in the White City’. In addition, he has also transpired that Ian McShane will once again wear the suit of Winston, manager of the Continental Hotel. It only remains to be seen if both interpreters will have essential roles for the plot or will be limited to simple cameos.
On the other hand, ‘The Continental’, based precisely on the early days of the good Winston and in which Mel Gibson will also be, has already found a home in streaming outside the territories of the United States, Israel and the Middle East. Thus, The series can be seen on Amazon Prime Video after the platform has reached an agreement with Lionsgate.
This news comes a few days after we learned that the Lionsgate+ platform, which a month ago made a rebranding to leave behind the Starzplay name, will cease to operate in Spain and six other European territories after declaring losses of 1,700 million dollars during the last quarter alone.
‘The Continental’ still does not have a release datealthough it is expected to arrive sometime in the next 2023, while ‘John Wick 4’ will be released on March 24 of the same year. ‘Ballerina’, without a confirmed date, continues in its main photography phase, so we should not have it until 2024.
