This weekend was the MAPPA Stage 2023 for the anime studio to bring out the artillery with some of its most recent series. And of course, there has been space for ‘Vinland Saga’, ‘Chainsaw Man’, ‘Hell’s Paradise’… and although we haven’t been able to see everything we wanted or have dropped all the things we expected (because let’s see what happens with ‘Yuri!!! on Ice’ we still haven’t pronounced ourselves, eh MAPPA?) Yes, we have received some very juicy advances.
Moving trailer with a lot of action
We had already seen a first trailer, but the second season of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is getting closer and closer and it is time to start putting all the meat on the grill. The first part of the season will focus on Gojo and Geto’s past in their student days with a particularly tricky case.
In addition to being able to see more scenes of what is coming in this arc (with a brutal antagonist included), the trailer also gives us a preview of ‘Ao no Sumika’, the new opening theme that she interprets Tatsuya Kitani.
Season 2 of the anime is divided into two parts, and although the first focuses on the past, the second will adapt the Shibuya Incident Arc, one of the most important in the manga. We haven’t been able to see much of that part yet, but MAPPA Yes, he has revealed the character designs for these chapters.

The new chapters of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ start the next July 6th, within the anime summer season. Its international distribution has not yet been fully confirmed, but given that crunchyroll already broadcast the first season in simulcast and also distributed ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’, it would be quite rare for the series to change its streaming house.
