Iran is an Islamic republic that imposes certain rules, laws and codes of conduct on its inhabitants that, for visitors and people from other countries, can be quite strict and even strange, since alcohol consumption is prohibited and interaction between men and women who are not united in marriage is usually very limited.
However, it seems that the strict rules have not only been noticed by people outside the country, but also some of its inhabitants have begun to notice them, or at least this group of university students has, since they ignored the rule of separation of the sexes. and they all gathered to have lunch together.
The unusual event happened at the prestigious Sharif Technological University, in Tehran, the capital of Iran, where a group of girls and boys ignored the strict rule of gender segregation, sat on the floor with long cloths as tablecloths and they shared lunch.
The photographs of the university students were shared by Sharif Todaythe university’s school newspaper, where they assured that said activity was carried out as a sign of protest against the death of Mahsa Amini, the Iranian woman tortured to death by the police because she defied the Islamic dress code.
The university students, like a family, ate together at the university, after the closing of the dining room.

Despite the attempts of the university’s school authorities to close the dining room to prevent it, the images show the young people sitting on the ground in the patio of the educational institution, violating the code of conduct that prevents students of both sexes from sharing dining rooms.
It should be noted that this fact has not been the only action of rebellion that students have had against the strict rules of the school, since, previously, some female students entered the male dining room wearing their veils, breaking with the rule of sex segregation. , act that caused the expulsion of 33 students.
After the death of Mahsa Amini on September 16, various protests have arisen, the majority of which are led by young people and women, who, shouting “woman, life, freedom”, launch messages against the Iranian government and burn veil them as a symbol of disagreement about what happened with Amini.
