On Thursday night, Paco León and Ernesto Alterio visited ‘El Hormiguero’ to present ‘Mari(dos)’, their new film. In addition, León told how his experience was Making a movie in Hollywood and the advice Nicolas Cage gave him.
“I lie very well”
Paco León and Ernesto Alterio star in ‘Mari(two)’, the new film by Lucía Alemany (‘La innocencia’), in which they both play two husbands who discover that they are married to the same woman. The movie opens on March 10 in theaters.
During his visit to ‘El Hormiguero’, Paco León recalled what it was like to work on a Hollywood film: ‘The unbearable weight of an enormous talent’, starring Nicolas Cage and in which León participated without knowing English or driving:
It’s just that I lie very well. I pretend. In ‘Mari (dos)’ she also pretended to be driving but I don’t know very well. And there, shooting, speaking in English, and acting like a dodgy person hit the jackpot. I had a great time.
In addition, it seems that the actor had problems when it came to act out the scenes in which he was shooting a gunsince his eyes closed as a reflex every time he activated the trigger. Nicolas Cage himself gave him some advice in order to solve it:
I wasn’t used to shooting scenes and it scared me. Then, Nicolas Cage told me: “You have to close your eye beforehand. You look like that and since your eyes are closed they don’t close anymore.”
