The long-awaited new series mike flanagan for Netflix, ‘The Midnight Club’ (‘The Midnight Club’) has been released this Friday with a bread under his arm. Well, more specifically with a Guinness record: the highest number of startles in a single episode.
Specifically, they have been counted a total of 21 scares that have made juvenile fiction enter the Guinness Book of Records. Diploma that Flanagan himself collected this past Thursday, precisely known for not using them, in the Netflix offices.
“I’ve been shitting on jump scare as a concept my entire career, and I wanted to make sure it was attributed to me, as well as the show, Netflix, and everyone who has caused this to happen to everyone. Now I have my name in the Guinness Book of World Records for scares, which means that the next time I get passed a score I can say “You know, as the current holder of the world record for scares, I don’t think we need one here.”
question of scares
Let’s remember that the series follows a group of sick young people who meet every night to tell horror stories, which is quite conducive to the appearance of scares. According to Flanagan, while he often shies away from the tactic, in this new fiction he decided to go all out with them:
“I thought, ‘Let’s do them all at once and then if we do it right, one shock won’t mean anything for the rest of the series.’ It will just destroy it. It will definitely kill him until he is dead. But that didn’t happen. They were like “Great! More scares!”
Co-created by Leah Longthe main cast of the fiction has Iman Benson, Adia, Igby Rigney, Annarah Cymone, Aya Furukawa, Ruth Codd, Sauriyan Sapkota, and Chris Sumpter.
