In my humble opinion, Daniel Radcliffe’s career is being one of the most surprising and stimulating of recent times, and his transition from a child star in the Harry Potter saga to a faithful servant of the panorama indie in rarities like the wild ‘Guns Akimbo’, the fart dramedy ‘Swiss Army Man’ or the imminent fake Weird Al Yankovic biopic is a good example of this.
no mutants
Of course, Radcliffe’s career continues to attract the attention of the big studios, for whom he has participated in titles such as ‘The Lost City’, but it seems that today you are nobody if you do not enter, at least, the pools to play a superhero in the current cinematic universe. something for which the good Daniel is not very for the work.
Months ago, the actor’s name began to sound like a substitute for Hugh Jackman to bring Wolverine to life in the MCU, rivaling Taron Egerton and even being supported by a Sandra Bullock enthusiastic about the idea; but now, Radcliffe has ruled out any hint of reality in what, plain and simple, are the typical rumors born during a promotional campaign.
This is how he explained it in an interview with the media outlet GQ, where he made it clear that his heart is closer to independent productions than of these franchised billionaire blockbusters.
“It’s just a press tour rumour. I say something and then I get bored of answering the same thing and say something different, and that starts it all over again. I shouldn’t open my mouth.
I just don’t want to get stuck in something that I’m not sure I can love at the same level all the time.”
Is It is not the first time that Daniel Radcliffe has spoken on the subject. Last March, she first ruled out her link to Marvel Studios during a conversation on The View.
“This is something that comes up every once in a while, I think because in the Wolverine comics he’s short, so sometimes they say, ‘Which actor is short?’ You ask carefully, so I make a joke like I did the other day and it has reignited the rumours, but nothing is cooking.”
Who will end up embodying the new version of Wolverine is a mystery, but for now we will enjoy again the talent of Hugh Jackman as the mythical mutant in ‘Deadpool 3’.
