There’s one wonderful thing about infographics and maps like this, and that’s the amount of information we get from just a glance. we have already told you the most popular dog breeds (we continue to freak out strongly with the one from Spain), the time you eat in each country in Europe and now it’s our turn to see how much it costs us to eat. A hamburger, specifically.
McDonald’s has more than 38,000 stores in more than 100 countries. It’s a happy place when we travel abroad and look for something to remind us of home (although it has little Spanish, that’s true), so it’s not surprising that we end up in one of them when we travel abroad. But how much would it cost us?
the people of CashNetUSA, a website of personal finance experts has done the work for us and has compared the price of a Big Mac and a Happy Meal using data from McDonald’s and food delivery apps. The result is surprising.
The most expensive country where to eat at McDonald’s
It is not the biggest surprise that we find seeing this map. The most expensive countries are also two with the highest per capita income: Liechtenstein and Switzerland. There it costs 7.10 euros to eat a Big Mac and 7.49 euros, a Happy Meal. Spain is in the top of the most expensive countries where to eat a Big Mac, with a price of 5.25 euros for burger.
One more extra fact. The most expensive hamburger in the world at McDonald’s is French, the Triple Cheddar & Double Beef, which costs a whopping 14.39 euros.
The cheapest country in which to eat a McDonald’s hamburger
The cheapest menus are found in Pakistanwhere a Happy Meal costs 1.54 dollars (1.41 euros to change), and the Big Mac 1.91 dollars (1.75 euros to change).
