Year 1987. Games Workshop releases the first rulebook for a futuristic miniatures game hoping it will have some pull. The name of it, ‘Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’, a version of his bombshell ‘Warhammer’. Year 2022: Henry Cavill, who in twelve months has lost the roles of Geralt de Rivia and Superman, will star in the future series of ‘Warhammer 40,000’, his great (not so) secret passion. If she’s not jumping for joy at home now, I’ll be pretty disappointed.
He has pondered his decision a lot
Henry Cavill has declared on more than one occasion his absolute love for the game’s miniatures and for him in himself. At the moment we had seen him painting miniatures and talking about his fanaticism, but now he has taken the next step: directly, become the star of a series about the game that he will also produce.
Although it is taking for granted that the series will exist, the truth is that for now everything is conjecture: There are no directors or screenwriters working on the project. Not even Amazon Prime Video has bought the series (yet)! Although seeing the repercussion it is having is a matter of days: Space fights starring the fandom’s favorite nerd? You don’t need to have a keen eye to know how to see a good bombshell.
It has been a curious few weeks for Cavill, who has seen how the two great dream roles of his life have disappearedbut at least it can be redeemed with another passion project for the source material (like ‘The Witcher’, on the other hand). Now all that remains is for her to star in a reality show about fixing computers with a very tight shirt to fulfill all her dreams.
