Completing university studies is the dream of many, but there are not always enough resources to reach the goal. Even so, there are those who try twice as hard to materialize their wishes. Just like Luis Ricardo Mendoza Martínez, a young man from Riohacha, Colombia. This is his story.
Aware that his family could not afford the payment of school supplies or tuition, Luis started a small business selling gummies inside and outside the school, from which every penny he collected went directly to his education until he became an expert in Business. International.
According to the newspaper SDP NewsLuis began selling gummies as soon as the University of La Guajira entered Colombia.
As the semesters passed, he made clients, friends and acquaintances who recommended him to other students. His teachers applauded his impetus and effort, because he never missed classes, presented all his homework and always passed his exams.
After several years of effort, Luis managed to graduate and all in large part to his gumdrop business, with which he was able to pay for his registration, materials, books and even transportation.
His small business helped him reach his goal, so he attended his graduation ceremony holding a box of gummies in his hand. In addition, he delivered an emotional message.
Everything starts with a need. Every day was the approximation to what I wanted to be as a professional. I received the diploma with the gummies because I evoked the person I was five years ago, that humble and cheerful person who sweetened the students’ moments before starting an exam or going home.
Luis’s story is proof worthy that dreams do come true. Of course, you have to put a touch of effort and not lose sight of the goal.
