Do you believe in love at first sight? The truth is that it has happened to many people and sometimes in the least expected place, as in the case of British Tony Garnett, 29, and his Ukrainian refugee Sofía Karkadym, 22.
It all started when, in good faith and will, Tony and his ex-wife Lorna Garnett decided to host Sofia, who at that time was looking for a home away from her country due to the war against Russia.
The couple contacted her through Facebook and, without thinking twice, they opened the doors of their beautiful home to her. However, when they saw each other for the first time, according to the lovers, a match and the love story began.
The problem is not that they fell in love, but that everything happened in a shared home with Lorna, who after observing certain flirtations could not help but feel jealous.
Without a doubt, jealousy was the next refugee in her house and boy did she have reasons to feel it, because Lorna noticed that there was a lot of trust between her ex-husband and Sofia and even declared that the Ukrainian was getting ready just before Tony arrived from work. In addition, she stated that between the two of them there was a very obvious and even blatant flirtation.
This was reason enough for Lorna to call a halt and Sofia had to leave. Despite this, Tony, very much in love with her, decided to run away with her, leaving her family to live her love. Now the couple lives with their parents and He assures that although everything happened in 10 days, since they met, they felt that attraction and connection that people rarely feel.
The sad thing about this story is not only that Lorna and her two children are now disappointed in Tony’s decision, but also that due to this experience, fear has arisen among the English population to give refuge to foreigners.
But if we analyze it well, good deeds cannot be blamed for this type of situation, in which there is the possibility that due to the differences in “connection” between the marriage, sooner or later, there would be a rupture.
