the tycoon Nancy Sauerwho lost his life at the age of 84, left part of his large fortune to Cleopatra, Goldfinger, Leo, Midnight, Napoleon, Snowball and Squeaky, her seven Persian cats.
According to various media, the cats received as an inheritance a mansion valued at $2,500,000 dollars.
“The deal is that the house cannot be sold until the last cat dies,” Yana Alban, a friend of the deceased, said in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times.
The property, which enjoys an extension of 4,000 square feet and is distributed over two floors, it has a hall, kitchen, dining room, living room, main room, laundry room, garage, among other rooms.
In addition to the house, the woman also left them an unspecified fortune so that they lack absolutely nothing for the rest of their lives.
“It was substantially enough to cover the cats’ food, medical care and grooming bills forever. They are young, only 5 years old. Persians can be expensive and finicky,” said Sherry Silk, executive director of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Contrary to what usually happens with the last will of the deceased, on this occasion it was not respected, since the authorities determined that the cats should be put up for adoption, considering it inappropriate for them to live in a mansion alone and without the necessary care.
