For a time it was something almost untouchable on television: The Arrowverso mixed a lot of CW superheroic series (‘Supergirl’, ‘Legends of tomorrow’, ‘Arrow’…) and they came to make crossovers that in the cinema can only be dreamed of. But everything ends, and of the six series that came to be broadcast at the same time, now only ‘The Flash’ remains… which It faces its ninth and final season in 2023 with the odd surprise.
Arrowverse, we barely met you
It makes sense that the Arrowverse dies with the same character he was born with: Stephen Amell will return to play Oliver Queen, Green Arrow, in ‘The Flash’ one last time after the disappearance of his series in 2020 and a decade after its first broadcast. There is a small issue to be overlooked that has to do with the life and death of the character, but in ‘The Flash’ it has never really been an issue.
As soon as our final season was announced, we knew we wanted Stephen to return and reprise his iconic role as Oliver Queen. After all, it was Oliver who originally started Barry Allen’s eroic path. That’s why all of us on Team Flash felt so strongly that it was important to come full circle with Oliver’s return in the final season of ‘The Flash.’ The result is an epic and emotional episode that we hope Arrowverso fans will enjoy (…) And yes, there will be emotions, feelings and tears.
Stephen Amell, who after ‘Arrow’ hasn’t had much luck casting roles beyond the title role in ‘Heels’, simply has written on Twitter a cursory “Of course I’ll be back” next to a Gif hugging Grant Gustin. The only thing we know about this special episode of ‘The Flash’ is that It will also feature other Arrowverse characters like Spartan, Kid Flash, and Bloodwork.trying to stop the Reverse Flash once and for all… for the last time.
