A few days ago, a girl from North Carolina, United States, got the surprise of her life when she discovered that a used bag that she bought for as little as a dollar was actually worth more than nine thousand dollars.
Through her social networks, the girl said that she bought the bag at an auction, in which she offered a dollar to buy it and since no one else made a higher offer, she was finally able to take it.
The lucky buyer is called Chandler West and on her social networks she shares different videos where she shows the articles vintage that he likes to buy at bazaars and auctions. That’s how she came across an old bag that no one else was betting on. In one of the videos posted on his account @ ciao.chandler he narrated this incredible story.
I thought: ‘I don’t know when it’s from, but it looks old, older than something ‘vintage’, it’s very old. It’s worth more than a dollar’. It’s pretty and I liked it, so I bought it.
Chandler had in mind to sell it on Facebook, but when he showed it with pictures, some people suggested that he take it to an expert to have it valued.
It turns out that the despised bag was from the Cartier brand from the year 1920 and the most fantastic thing was that a jeweler determined that the 12 blue stones that it had as an ornament on the front were actually diamonds. That is why the piece would reach a market value of more than nine thousand dollars.

The girl decided to auction off the luxurious item and managed to sell it for the not inconsiderable amount of $7,500. It is incredible that a fortune was disguised as humility.
After learning about this story, we cannot help but wonder if we have ever had in our hands an ancient item of great value, which we simply discarded for not being experts and knowing what it could be worth. We bet that from now on you will be more careful.
