Not everything has been honey on flakes for the singer Ed Sheeran during the last months, well let’s remember that he is currently facing a trial for alleged plagiarism. In fact, the situation would overwhelm him to the point of having “threatened” to retire from music if the verdict does not favor him.
It was during his appearance on the podium that the singer of “Perfect” assured that it was an insult for him to have dedicated “a whole life and artistic career” to show that he is an excellent songwriter and singer, to later feel “diminished” by something that for him it is natural like writing the lyrics of a song.
“If that happens, I’m done, I’ll stop.”said about the possibility of losing the trial in which he is accused of plagiarism for his famous song “Thinking out loud” with respect to the song “Let’s get it on” by Marvin Gaye.
“I find it really insulting to dedicate my whole life to being a performer and songwriter and have someone look down on me,” MailOnline noted.
And it is that from day one, Ed Sheeran flatly denied any resemblance between the two songs. Even his work team has stated that the tracks do not share more than a series of chord progressions that are essential in the pop genre.
According to reports, the trial that takes place in Manhattan is expected to end in approximately two weeks, this being the same time frame that his fans wait to find out what will happen to the singer’s career.
