Last weekend, the singer Bebe Rexha was attacked by one of her fans during a presentation at a nightclub in New York, United States, after her assailant threw a phone at her face when she was on stage, causing the artist to interrupt her presentation and be taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to the information, at that very moment, the alleged attacker was arrested by the authorities and now it has been revealed that the man responds to the name of 27-year-old Nicolás “N”, who was prosecuted in New York City for misdemeanor charges of harassment and assault.
Let’s remember that on June 18, the interpreter of Meant to Be was attacked by a fan when he threw a cell phone at him and hit part of his face and left eye, causing a wound for which he had to receive three stitches, as well as a bruise and swelling.
Now it has emerged that, according to the criminal complaint of an anonymous witness, Nicolás himself admitted that he allegedly threw the cell phone at Bebe Rexha to see if he could hit her because he thought it would be fun.
However, the alleged attacker pleaded not guilty and his lawyer, Todd Spodek, released a statement stating that his client only intended for his favorite star to do selfies with his cell phone to keep them as a souvenir and that he never meant to hurt her.
In addition, it was reported that Nicolás was released and a restraining order from the singer was imposed on him. If convicted, he could face up to a year in jail. So far, Bebe Rehxa has not ruled on the matter.
