“The first one, which starts on December 16 at 8:20 a.m., sold out half an hour after the match between Argentina and Croatia ended. The second one, which also leaves on the 16th but at 8:00 p.m. hours, it was uploaded to the web during the early hours of the morning and in a couple of hours all the seats were reserved,” the airline said in a statement.
Tens of thousands of Argentines took to the streets to enthusiastically celebrate the victory against Croatia, which will lead Argentina to its sixth world final on Sunday against the winner between France and Morocco, which will meet on Wednesday.
Messi, 35, announced that Sunday’s final will be his last game in the World Cup.
Argentina won its last World Cup in 1986, at the hands of star Diego Maradona. His other title was achieved at home in 1978.
