The failed Spider-Man 4 project by Sam Raimi had planned to incorporate Angelina Jolie as the villain of the story, being the daughter of a legendary Spidey nemesis
Although the fourth Spider-Man film directed by Sam Raimi did not come to fruition, some plot details are now known, including the appearance of Angelina Jolie as Vultress.

After the poor reception of Spider-Man 3 in 2007, Sony Pictures scrapped the possibility of a fourth Spider-Man movie with Tobey Maguire. So the Spidery franchise got a reboot in 2012 with The Amazing Spider-Man.
According to the author of the book With Great Power, Sean O’Conell, Sony Pictures plans to make Spider-Man 4, where the wall-crawler played by Tobey Maguire would have one of the greatest dangers he has ever faced: The Vulture.
This version of Adrian Toomes would be played by John Malkovich, who would be a government contractor who would dedicate his efforts to crime. Toomes would get into a bloody fight with Spider-Man, where he would lose his life, and his place would be taken by Angelina Jolie’s character, Liz Toomes.
This woman, before adopting the alias of Vultress, would be behind the group of investors who would seek to buy the Daily Bugle, owned by J. Jonah Jameson.
Spider-style action
Sam Raimi was looking in one of Spider-Man 4’s climactic scenes for Spidey and Vultress to have a wall-crawler-like battle with Doctor Octopus on the New York subway.
This film was contemplated to be filmed in 2009, but Sony Pictures chose to scrap the plan, opting for the reboot of the franchise, by Marc Webb.
In 2021 Angelina Jolie joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thena in the Eternals plot, and Tobey Maguire returned as a variant of the wall-crawler in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Michael Keaton played the Vulture, who will be one of the major villains in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, appearing in Morbius’ post-credits scene.
