“This agreement marks a new chapter in the history of Racing as the consortium commits to accelerating sustainable investments in the growth of the club, including those that take place in the first teams and in the (training) Academy, in continuity with the project put into operation by Marc Keller, who will continue to be president of the club, supported by his current management team,” BlueCo said in a statement.
The group acquired all of the shares in Strasbourg, specified a source close to the matter, without being able to provide details on the amount of the investment.
“BlueCo is committed to preserving the legacy of Racing (from Strasbourg) and looks forward to working closely with Marc Keller and his management team to continue the excellent work done,” the statement added. Strasbourg becomes the fifth Ligue 1 club to have US ownership, after Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse and Le Havre.
