After the reports that indicated the dismissal of Amber Heard from the film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the actress’s spokespersons affirmed that Heard is officially still in the film.
Through social networks and some sites it was stated that Warner Bros. had ordered the dismissal of Amber Heard as Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, after the trial that the actress lost to her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Following these claims, a spokesperson for Amber Heard told the Variety site that the actress is still planning to appear in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and the reports that her departure from production is false.
“The rumors continue as they have since day one: inaccurate, insensitive, and a little crazy.”, Said the spokesperson for the actress.
In 2016 Amber Heard joined the ranks of DC Comics to play Mera, both in Justice League and in the solo Aquaman movie.
Heard was even part of Zack Snyder’s reshoots prior to Zack Snyder’s: Justice League premiere on digital platforms.
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom will feature a cast led by Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman; Amber Heard as Mera and Willem Dafoe as Vulko.
Also returning are Randall Park as Doctor Stephen Shin, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry; Dolph Lundgren as Nereus; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta; Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.
The premiere of Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on March 17, 2023.
