The Marvel Noir universe was born in 2009 at the hands of Spiderman. It couldn’t be any other way: although the line did not go ahead (with little-remarkable comics like ‘Daredevil Noir’ or ‘Arma X Noir’), the 1933 Peter Parker gained notoriety appearing in video games, series and, finally, in the always fabulous and recommendable ‘Spiderman: a new universe’. Especially since, to everyone’s surprise, the protagonist will not be Peter Parker, unlike in the comics, thus opening a new universe. Since there were few…
Spiderman’s adventures in the 1930s are not the only thing that Amazon has managed to tear away from the Marvel franchise. Months ago he announced ‘Silk: Spider society’, the series of a relatively new character in the comics (first appeared in 2014), an anti-heroine who was bitten by the same spider as Parker but a while later. ‘Spiderman Noir’ is in good hands: Oren Uziel, screenwriter of ’10 Cloverfield Street’, ‘The Departed at the University’ or ‘The Lost City’ will be in charge of the scripts after developing the series with the ubiquitous Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. It is unknown what other series Amazon Prime Video will release, but it should be remembered that, although we know him above all for the Marvel Studios movies, Sony owns the rights to more than 900 characters from the Spiderman comics. thwip!
