Netflix releases many films, but then it rarely coincides that the ones that work best are among its best productions. Luckily, that is what has happened with ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’, since the wonderful German film is killing and it is already one of the most watched movies not spoken in English on the platform.
This new version of the novel Erich Maria Remarque already adds 71.45 million hours played in its first ten days on the platform. That allows you to occupy already seventh position in the Top 10 of the most watched Netflix movies of all time not spoken in English.
Obviously, ‘All Quiet on the Front’ keep moving up, as the list includes the most viewed movies during their first 28 days on the platform. Currently the first position is held by ‘Blood Red Sky’ with 110.52 million hours. Less than 40 million more, so it is impossible not to have it.
Now the question is to see how it will hold up during its third week, which is when non-English-language films suffer the steepest downturn. For example, the current figures for ‘All Quiet on the Front’ are similar to those of ‘Black Crab’ during the same period, but the latter ended up staying at 94.13 million hours, which allows it to occupy third place historical.
For my part, I think ‘All Quiet on the Front’ you are little less than guaranteed to reach that third position. And ahead of it would only be ‘Cielo Rojo Sangre’ and ‘El Hoyo’, since the remarkable Spanish science fiction film holds second position with 108.09 million hours played.
