Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the new movie in the franchise that will hit theaters and Akira Toriyama has actively collaborated.
The legendary Akira Toriyama is the creator of the original manga dragon ball and now he has handled the story and character designs for Dragon Ball Super: Super Herothe film that is about to be released in theaters.
What stands out most about this new story is that they will bring back the Red Ribbon Army who have designed two new androids called Gamma 1 and 2, which will make things very difficult for Gohan and Piccolo.
To make these androids, Akira Toriyama he used superheroes and nostalgic ideas that he loved as a child. He explains it this way:
“The Gamma Androids were created by the brilliant Dr. Hedo, whose dream was for clichéd heroes to appear. These slightly dated designs are the embodiment of what I imagined heroes to be like when he was young.”
That is why they will use weapons such as “retro” pistols that seem inadequate to face beings as powerful as Gohan and Piccolo.
As for interpretation, Akira Toriyama only has praise for the voice actors, as listening to Hiroshi Kamiya as Gamma 1 and Mamoru Miyano as Gamma 2, Toriyama stated, “The two voice actors brought them to life with perfect voices, so seeing them in action was cooler than expected.”
