Karl Urban revealed a chilling scene from Thor: Ragnarok where Hela forces Skurge to perform a bloody act that he would regret to the extreme
In Thor: Ragnarok the God of Thunder faced one of the greatest dangers of his life with the return of his sister Hela (Cate Blanchet), who added Skurge (Karl Urban) as an ally, an executor who had a chilling scene that did not make the final cut.

If you remember the plot directed by Taika Waititi, Skurge took Heimdall’s place as protector of the Bifrost, but with the arrival of Hela, to survive he joined as the executor of The Goddess of Death.
Forced by Hela, Skurge performs acts that the same warrior would regret to the point of sickening, as Karl Urban reveals in an interview, in which he reveals chilling details of a scene that was discarded in the final cut.
“There was one scene that didn’t make the final cut. Because the character has a really wonderful arc… There’s a scene where Skurge cuts off a young girl’s head in a town square because Hela asks him to. And then there’s a scene that didn’t make the final cut, he’s absolutely grossed out to the core. We found it in some corner. And he’s actually physically sick because of what he’s done. And that was really the genesis of this turn it takes“.
Skurge reconsidered (and improvised) at the end
While Skurge didn’t have that dark twist in the film, Karl Urban noted that Taika Waititi’s direction was important for each character in Thor: Ragnarok to have their own stamp.
“You were in the middle of a take, doing the dialogue, and he was going back and forth, ‘Hey, why don’t you try saying this or that? Why don’t you come pick that up or do that? ?’ And he was really liberating in a way, because there was nothing precious about it. And he just became a lot more fluid and a lot more off the cuff.”.
In the final stretch of the film, Hela kills Skurge, who finally rectifies and helps the inhabitants of Asgard to escape the imminent destruction of the planet.
