If a content creator wants to stay on Twitch or similar streaming platforms, they must follow the Community Guidelines to the letter. While sometimes the circumstances make it unclear whether or not the person deserves to be removed from the platform, there are others that may surprised by the result that they finally ended up having.
In August 2022, the Venezuelan streamer ‘Kimmikka’ had an incident that led to the expulsion from her channel on Twitch. And it is that while she was live and reading the chat she was with another person having sexual relations, an action that he did not know how to hide too much. After the stream ended, he was immediately banned by Twitch for violating one of the most basic community guidelines, though many were surprised that it was only a one-week ban.
Just like reported Jake Lucky at the time, was banned from both of his channels immediately. Kimmikka contacted him shortly after that tweet to clarify that it happened because she was totally drunk at that moment and comments that the live ended quickly. What perhaps few expected is that in the face of such an infraction, Twitch would allow him to return.
Twitch’s guidelines for nudity or sexually suggestive content
Twitch’s rules are clear regarding sexually suggestive content. Although there are many content creators who regularly navigate these waters, the truth is that Twitch penalizes those streamers who display nudity or are partially nude. This is what is written literally in its guidelines:
Users are prohibited from streaming or sharing content depicting actual nudity (even if they are fake images that appear to be real). Incomplete censorship, such as pixelization, mosaics, and blur effects, are no exception to this policy.
For example, you may not display or promote [aviso de contenido]:
1) Exposed anus or totally bare and exposed buttocks.
2) Exposing genitals in any way.
3) Women showing breasts with exposed nipples (unless actively nursing a baby).
The problem with the Kimmikka incident was that it was not sexually suggestive, as there was nothing left to the imagination. The act was explicit, and therefore, she was banned from Twitch. The platform does not specify the time that a person can be expelled from the platform for an infraction of this style. The week-long ban was likely due to the streamer not breaking any other rules before.
The repercussion of his clip made him gain thousands of followers
According to the Twitch statistics website SullyGnome, the streamer only had 231 followers before the ban. In addition, his account was created a few days before, in July 2022. However, after returning to the platform, Kimmikka grew rapidlyespecially considering that his clip went viral, racking up millions of views around the world.
Kimmikka decided to close her main channel and continue on another one under the name ‘Kim_Mikka_’. Although currently not very active, has amassed almost 30,000 followers. Also, a few days ago he tried streaming on Kick, so he may want to continue his journey on that platform. Along with this, Kimmikka also uploads content on TikTok and OnlyFans.
Kimmikka seems to have worked out the move, since with his clip he went tremendously viral, he knew how to take advantage of the momentum and ended up gaining thousands of followers. However, it will be an experience that may be with you for a lifetime.
