The curious theory that connects ‘The Little Mermaid’ with ‘Sleeping Beauty’
One of the most remembered scenes from The Little Mermaid is when Ariel takes a tenor and begins to brush her hair, mistaking the cover for a hair comb.
This scene takes place in the dining room of the luxurious castle, but the defalque has attracted the most attention, are the paintings that Ariel has in the back, in two of them boats are seen, but in one of them you can see to a couple.
Fans are convinced of the couple in that painting, it would be nothing more and nothing less than Princess Aurora and Prince Philip, and that they could be Prince Eric’s great-grandparents or great-grandparents.
And it is that the story of Sleeping Beauty corresponds to the 14th century, while that of The Little Mermaid takes place between the 16th and 17th centuries, so for many it makes sense, and the relationship would be real.
