A new version of The Pink Panther would give us the meeting between the same Pink Panther and Eddie Murphy in a film that will combine animation and live-action
There is no doubt that productions that combine animated characters with real life people are an interesting bet, and on this occasion Eddie Murphy would star in the new version of The Pink Panther, but with the pink feline at his side.

Let’s go in parts. In 1963 The Pink Panther was released, directed by Blake Edwards. With Peter Sellers who plays the clueless inspector Jacques Clouseau. In the initial titles of this film there is an animated sequence, which is the debut of the same Pink Panther
In 1969, after five films, Blake Edwards, Maurice Richlin, David DePatie and Friz Freleng produced the Pink Panther animated series, which followed the hilarious adventures of this character, without issuing a single word.
In 2006 this film had a remake, with Steve Martin, Kevin Kline and Beyoncé in the main roles. Three years later The Pink Panther 2 was released, with Jean Reno joining the cast
The Return of the Pink Panther… with Eddie Murphy
In 2023 the return of The Pink Panther may become a reality, but in a combination of the story directed by Blake Edwards and the animated series from the 60s, adding Eddie Murphy.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Eddie Murphy is close to completing his participation in this new version of The Pink Panther, in a film that will mix animation and live action.
Murphy would play Inspector Clouseau, who would investigate a robbery, perpetrated by the Pink Panther himself, who would jump out of the animated world.
This project is under development by the Metro Goldwin-Mayer studios, so its probable release date is unknown.
