The latest billboard releases do not leave any flashy news that gives us wings to the imagination to find related content. Let’s not go so fast though, because we have Idris Elba leading a survival thriller called ‘The Beast’ where faces, nothing less, than against a lion.
And well, why don’t you make a list related to that? Not with survival thrillers, which we already have, but with movies related to lions. Big cats explored in movies of all kindsnot only tense action, and that we can also see through streaming platforms.

That said, not everything has to be action and primary terror when it comes to touching lions. This classic James Hill drama offers a heartwarming family entertainmentwith some modest adventure and also tenderness.
A light exploration of the impossibility of containing nature eternally and of the unexplained relationships formed with animals. All beautifully accompanied by the fabulous soundtrack by the great John Barry.

If you have to do something about lions, it is practically mandatory to include the best film that has had them as protagonists. And one of the best films ever made. ‘The Lion King’ brings together a great Shakespearean story with the greatest technical virgueria of a Disney at its best -and that in the film the “B team” worked while the tops were with ‘Pocahontas’-. A powerful and majestic film, which gave these animals epic forever.

‘The demons of the night’ (‘The Ghost and the Darkness’, 1996)

Two men against two lions in one of those classic nineties exercises inspired in part by real events and with two notable stars at the forefront.
Although there is a lot of classic adventure in this Stephen Hopkins film, making its adult entertainment have an interesting and vintage flavor. Survival and connection with African nature in a film like the ones that are hardly made anymore.
