The reactions do not leave much room for doubt. Even with an ending that some consider questionable, to say the least, the experience of ‘Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse’ is shattering and jaw-dropping, making an incredible case for animation as the ideal format to tell these superhero stories. Of course the sequel makes the argument in favor more extraordinary.
Although it is not the only one that has shown the virtues of the animated medium as the best alternative for these fantasy and science fiction stories. Today we collect three fantastic examples with superheroic movies animated in different ways, some with the irreverent and self-conscious point of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have applied to the spider hero.
‘The Incredibles’ (‘The Incredibles’, 2004)
Address: Brad Bird. Distribution: Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Lee, Dominique Louis.
Before Marvel and DC confirmed their world domination in this superhero genre, Pixar closed in on it in what remains one of his great movies. Superior to many of the efforts of the big comic factories, making a very special version as well as being strongly influenced by classic science fiction and stories like those of the Fantastic 4.
Here Brad Bird began to confirm himself as one of the best animation directors that have gone through the studio, as well as hinting at a possible Randyan axis in his work. A great job of action and family entertainmentmaking the most of the tools of the time and creating very memorable characters.

‘Batman: The LEGO Movie’ (‘The LEGO Batman Movie’, 2017)
Address: Chris McKay. Distribution: Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes, Zach Galifianakis.
Going back to Lord and Miller, their amazing ‘The LEGO Movie’ was such a phenomenon that it launched a series of spin-offs around various characters with figures of this type. That was the beginning of the end of the franchise, which produced many in a short time and burned its potential, but things started off great around the Batman characterwhich was already one of the successes of the previous film.
With this film is created a perfect tribute to one of the key figures in pop culture, as much or more than Spider-Man. The gallery of characters and nods to the comics is overwhelming, but everything is always in the service of exploring a character in an entertaining and deep way, almost better than most live action movies. Festive and spectacular in equal measure.

‘Teen Titans Go! The movie’ (‘Teen Titans Go! To the Movies’, 2018)
Address: Aaron Horvath, Peter Rida Michael. Distribution: Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Khary Payton, Tara Strong, Hynden Walch.
Even more faithful to the referential and meta spirit that the productions of Lord and Miller exude is this splendid jump from one of the most sympathetic and non-conformist series that children can enjoy. A terrific collection of slightly poisoned darts thrown against the very overloaded landscape of superheroic blockbusters, plus the turbulent state of the DC Universe.
In addition, a hypervitamin adventure, skilful with his winks and with lots of love for the characters which leads, finally, to the cinema. Comedy and action everywhere in less than an hour and a half carried out at a frenetic but not exhausting pace. Being a fan of the characters and their tone takes the enjoyment to the next level, although it is not essential for have a great time with your proposal.
