From escaping from a T-800 to Hawkins
Linda Hamilton was born in Salisbyry, Maryland, on September 26, 1956. Her father died when she was five years old and her mother remarried a police chief. Hamilton thought she would study archaeology, but her scenes caught his eye.
In his native Maryland he began to study acting, to later arrive in New York, where he continued his preparation at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, which allowed him to reach Hollywood.
Her first break came in 1982, with the role of Susan in Tag: The Assassination Game, and in 1984 Hamilton’s big break came from director James Cameron, who cast her as Sarah Connor in The Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s side.
In 1987 Hamilton was selected for one of the series that gave her international projection, Beauty and the Beast, as the interpreter of Catherine Chandler, alongside Ron Pearlman.
Hamilton reprized the role of Sarah Connor for Terminator: Judgment Day, where the actress made a radical change from her portrayal of seven years earlier, turning into a tougher character, earning her a place as one of the world’s most bankable actresses. of the industry.
