The ninth ‘Masterchef 11’ gala said goodbye to a new contestant: Jeremy he became the new expelled and he left regretting not being able to see how Fray Marcos was thrown out of the contest.
Star charts and couscous
At last night’s ‘Masterchef’ gala, the contestants faced a first test in which they had to cook a dish according to astral predictions. The judges pointed to Jorge Juan and friar marcos like the best of the challenge but only the second got the coveted immunity pin.
Álex, Ana, Camino, Jeremy, Jotha, Leti and Pilu got the black aprons and they had to face the elimination test. After a brief challenge to get extra time by guessing what each knife was for, they entered the supermarket in pairs to choose from the limited ingredients they had for cooking.
Laura and Jeremy were the last couple to go in for their ingredients and that ended up working against them. Specifically, the judges blamed Jeremy for having chosen products that he did not know (blue whiting and couscous) and using techniques without rhyme or reason, so it is not surprising that Jeremy was finally expelled.
“Infamous” Jordi Cruz summed up his dish and Jeremy admitted that he was very tired during the test. “What bad luck not being able to see how they throw out Fray and Francesc” he confessed before leaving the kitchens.
