The movie saga “Harry Potter” -based on the books written by JK Rowling– is one of the most successful in movie history, and now the company Warner Bros. Discovery plans to take it to the small screen, in a series that would premiere on the platform streaming HBO.
Rowling is in negotiations to approve the ambitious project that would relate the adventures of the young wizard. If it is carried out, each of the seasons would show in its chapters the content of a book corresponding to the series of best sellers.
According to David Zaslav (director of Warner Bros. Discovery) a “Harry Potter” television series is one of the priorities for the company, which in this new stage is focused on taking advantage of the success of film sagas. The first tape of the eight based on the books of JK Rowling premiered in 2001 and launched the actor to fame Daniel Radcliffeending ten years later with “Harry Potter and the deathly hallows – Part 2”. All were a resounding success worldwide.
