If I’m honest, what makes me laziest when it comes to cooking is always the time to pick up and clean. That’s why I’m a fan of meals that don’t turn on or induction and that are prepared with a cutting board and a few ingredients that I always have in the pantry.
But even if we cook and clean up right after, there are many areas in the kitchen where grease accumulates almost magically, and which is very difficult to remove afterwards.
The most obvious trick to keep the kitchen from getting greasy might be not to cook, but not all of us can afford to eat out, bring mum’s tupperware or order from those who send you home with delicious foodlike those by Cristina Oria, for example, which are delicious.
That’s why we’ve compiled some easy routines to keep it sparkling clean and several Tricks to prevent the kitchen from filling up with grease. Take note because with a couple of changes, you will notice the difference.
Clean often, the best trick to avoid accumulated grease
Although Decoesfera experts tell us that the kitchen must be thoroughly cleaned a couple of times a year, it is convenient that we clean the surfaces that are most in contact with grease often. It is also important that certain areas of the kitchen are cleaned daily, such as the refrigerator door or the sink faucet.
The hood, the hob, the gas or ceramic hob, the tiles closest to the fire areas or the tools that we have on the hob (knife setssmall household appliances, Cookware…) they have to have a review at least weekly with products that eliminate fat to prevent it from accumulating there.

You don’t need to use a powerful degreaser, the dishwasher that you use to scrub by hand is fine, using it on a scourer and removing it later with a damp cloth. Ammonia also has great degreasing properties (be careful with fumes when using it, windows wide open) and if you want to go for something more natural, baking soda is great.
Once the grease is cleaned, you can disinfect the surfaces using, for example, cleaning vinegar or lemon, both with disinfectant action.

Always use the hood when cooking and keep the kitchen well ventilated
Even if you think you’re not generating enough smoke to use it, the hood will help you so that the fat found in the vapors does not settle anywhere and always do it in the hood filter. Of course, it must be very clean (especially the filters) for it to work properly.
Besides It is important to ventilate the kitchen as well as the rest of the rooms in the houseso that if there are small particles suspended in the air, they disappear more easily.
Use lids to avoid splashing
In addition to avoiding burns, the covers of pots, pans and pots prevent fat from jumping in any preparation, not only when doing something on the grill. And if what you need is for the water to evaporate, for example making a sauce, try the splash covers which are of a fine mesh that lets out the steam but not the fat.

Try cooking with steamers and microwave
A great way to cook and eat healthy, avoiding stains as little as possible is use other types of cooking with which we reduce (a lot) cleaning. The microwave, that great forgotten, is a great ally if we know how to use it.
we can choose steam cases for use in the microwave rice cookers, pasta cookers, of eggs And till cases to make tortillas. You will stain very little and the kitchen will notice it. The same happens with electric steamers like the ones we tell you about in this article. You cook healthy and stain as little as possible, all advantages.

Protect your surfaces before cooking
Putting aluminum foil in the areas where you cook, especially if you have gas, is a way to prevent it from filling up with so much grease, although it is not the most ecological thing in the world.
You can too protect your countertop and furniture with plastic coatings and if they are made of wood (one of the materials that accumulates the most grease), with wax polishes to prevent them from accumulating too much grease.
