That ‘Ranking of Kings’ (‘Usama Ranking’) becoming one of the great hits of the past year in terms of anime was something that many of us did not see coming anywhere. But since the story of the deaf-mute prince who dreams of being the best king has had us hooked for months and has gained an army of (Bojji) fans… well, logically more anime had to arrive sooner or later.
In the end it has also been early, because although there is practically no more manga to adapt, nothing is released ‘Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage‘, an original adventure for Kage and Bojji.
Special episode or miniseries?
The truth is that the official website of ‘Ranking of Kings’ is still playing a bit of a mistake with the spin-off and how long it will last. Because the new trailer for the anime describes it as a “special episode” but apparently also confirms that it can be seen “every Thursday”, so with this it seems that we will have anime for several weeks.
It had already been confirmed thatRanking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage‘ would premiere within the spring season, but now we have also finished rushing with its confirmed premiere for the April 13th.
Obviously new opening themes and credits are also coming, and in the new trailer we have a preview of both the opening’gold‘, performed by PEOPLE 1, as the ending theme song ‘atemonaku‘, performed by Aimer.
witstudio (‘Spy x Family’, ‘Shingeki no Kyojin’) already took care of the first season of ‘Ranking of Kings‘ and now he is also back with the spin-off. There is still nothing certain about a complete second season, but the manga has just begun to be published in Spain by Ivrea.
