On Tuesday, November 29, the self-proclaimed “El jefe” of reggaeton gave his first farewell concert -out of five-, in the Mexican capital before the more than 60,000 fans who gathered at this classic venue.
“Rompe”, “What happened, happened”, “Llamado de emergencia”, were some of the most chanted and danced songs by fans of Ramón Ayala, the real name of the Puerto Rican singer.
After 9:00 p.m. and at the end of a 5-minute countdown, Daddy Yankee appeared on stage and, amidst screams of emotion from his fans, began to sing “Campeón”, to continue with his song “Remix”, both from his album farewell “Legendaddy”.
Fireworks and much gratitude from the Puerto Rican were part of the first night of five in the Mexican capital. Daddy Yankee took a moment to appreciate the Foro Sol attendees and was impressed by the support of his fans gathered at the venue.
“I have a sister country called Mexico. Many thanks family. It was worth the sacrifice and the effort with that love that you give me, thank you very much,” said the reggaeton player before the attendees.
Other songs of the most anticipated and most chanted were “La Santa” -a collaboration with Bad Bunny-, as well as “Limbo”, “Bombón” and “Con Calma”. The singer closed his show with the songs “Dura” and “Gasolina”, which have been world hits and reggaeton classics.
After a repertoire of 32 songs and just over two hours of show, the Foro Sol witnessed a fireworks display that lasted a few minutes while Daddy Yankee said goodbye to his fans.
I say goodbye, but my music remains in your hearts forever
daddy yankee
Thank you Mexico City for so much affection and love. Thank you very much for making the dream of that little boy that he started at the age of 13 come true. I say goodbye, but my music remains in his hearts forever. Says goodbye to a legend, the best of all time, Daddy Yankee”, he finished.
The reggaetonero will continue with his presentations in the Mexican capital this Wednesday, November 30, as well as on Friday, December 2, Saturday 3, and Sunday 4, at Foro Sol.
