TV series “The idol”premiered on the platform Maxis currently one of the most successful, but also one of the most controversial due to the daring of its scenes. A few days ago the program generated comments of all kinds for a sequence from chapter 2 in which Tedros -played by The Weeknd– violently seduces Jocelyn (lily rose depp), and now the famous singer gave his opinion about it.
In a recent interview, the Canadian artist – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye– He commented that everything in the script is planned to reflect that his character is hateful and evil.: “There is nothing sexy (in the scene). Tedros can’t believe she’s there. He comes off as a loser. Those moments are the humanity you find in a psychopath, the chink in his armor.”
The Weeknd stressed that both he and sam levinson (series producer) worked on every detail of the character’s image, with the goal of making it memorable for viewers: “He’s despicable, a psychopath, why sugarcoat it?…There’s nothing really mysterious or mesmerizing about it. And we did it on purpose with her lookshis outfit, his hair: the guy is a jerk. You can tell he cares a lot about how he looks, and he thinks he looks good. But then you see these strange moments of him alone: he rehearses, he calculates. And he needs to do that, or he has nothing, he’s pathetic. Which is true for a lot of people who are like fish out of water, put in these scenarios.” The third episode of “The idol” It will be released next Sunday.
