Adopting a dog is an even greater responsibility than one would expect before having lived with their first furry one. And it is that, like us, they are also mammals that develop diseases and suffer accidents. However, when one is truly committed and gives himself to the task without fear of anything (as Álex Ubago would say), the bond established between human and animal is unique. Although sometimes they suffer, like when they are bad and we see them suffer. Even if it’s not our own pet that’s in trouble. Being so, we have been moved by the story of Melman.
Melman is a chihuaha who suffered a terrible accident as a puppy and that is that his former owners fell to the ground, suffering for this reason a skull fracture. As if he hadn’t had enough bad luck already, he was abandoned. Although, as there is no harm that is not good, he ended up finding his bones in a shelter where he could finally know what human affection was and make his first dog friends.
There he began to receive the medical care and treatment he needed to recover. Although it was not easy to get the little one to recover his quality of life, everything humanly possible was done so that his condition was not an impediment to leading a normal life.
In this way, the veterinarian, before subjecting him to the surgery he needed, realized that improving his quality of life involved wear a permanent helmet to live. The new owner of her, she moved heaven and earth in the media and social networks to get all the money she needed to buy the helmet from Melman.
Thanks to the solidarity of the people, Melman now has his helmet and, in addition to leading a normal life, he has regained his joy. Also, of course, thanks to all the love he receives in his new home with his three doggy stepbrothers. Its owner is giving an account of it on her Instagram account, where we can see it from taking a nap to enjoying the snow. Of course, always with her characteristic helmet.
